Job Description
BTU Installation and Maintenance Limited is a regional based contractor working around the South East of the Country. We are seeking to recruit 2 service and maintenance apprentice’s to learn and support our maintenance contract deliveries.
The Apprentice will follow a structed apprentice training program aims to develop over a 4 year term. Apprentices will develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours they need to plan and complete a range of maintenance work such as ventilating, heating, water supply, refrigeration and air conditioning and mechanical services engineering.

Building Services Engineering makes buildings work. It is a specialist branch of engineering within the construction sector. Installers, install components of large-scale industrial and commercial systems such as heating, chilled water, hot water and cold water which are used for heating workplaces such as those found in industrial and commercial buildings like office blocks, factories, schools, universities and hospitals. These engineering systems operate by moving temperature controlled water around the inside of buildings, providing heating and cooling, and utilise fossil fuels and sustainable energy systems.
The qualification has been developed to support the on-programme delivery of the Building services engineering Installer apprenticeship standard.
On completion of the Level 2 Heating and Ventilation Installer qualification, the learner will be in possession of the practical skills and knowledge to work on a range of specialised industrial and commercial installations. It is ideal for those starting out or wishing to progress their career in heating and ventilation, perhaps choosing to specialise in installing and maintaining industrial or commercial heating and ventilation systems.
Following the completion of the installer level 2 qualification, apprentices will specialise in the service and maintenance sector program which will seek to achieve a level 3 qualification. Further training on Refrigeration system and / or natural gas will complete the training program
